Richard Mack served 26 years as a lieutenant with the NYPD and last worked at the NYPD’s elite Strategic Response Group. He is now bringing his skills and experience to the private security sector. Rich has extensive experience in counter-terrorism prevention, crowd management, active shooter/heavy weapons response and disaster/emergency procedures. Rich also has additional specialized training from the NYPD’s Dignitary Protection course, HAZMAT Technician, Auto Crime school and various FEMA/Homeland Security related programs such as C.O.B.R.A. and Radiological/Nuclear awareness and detection programs.

In addition to his law enforcement career, Rich has many years of corporate and private security experience as well. He performed scores of safety and security tasks for high profile clientele and assisted in performing event management security for several top-tier organizations.
Rich has a MA in Criminal Justice and was a 16-year adjunct professor at John Jay College of Criminal justice in New York. He also has various training in Critical Incident Stress management (CISM) and related disciplines. Rich has volunteered his time as a Peer Support Officer (PSO) with the Police Organization Providing Peer Assistance (POPPA) for over twenty years and The Wounded Blue organization for the past two years.
